Getting into rebuilding my 9" in the truck and want to make sure I've got everything and it's the right stuff. This is the first time I've ever dealt with an axle so I want to make sure I get it right.

I know nothing about setting up a diff. Been having heavy vibrations so took it to a reputable shop. It cost lots but now the vibration is gone and they rebuilt my rear end from wheel to wheel. I bit the bullet and got a new billet posi unit installed at the same time. Couldnt find a good used posi and the rear end was getting ready to go. So decided to let a shop do it for me.
Just asking - is there something wrong with your differential? Or is this work being done as a preventative measure?
I pulled my differential just as part of a general cleanup/repaint of my rear end and replacing the gasket, but after reading up on rebuilding one of those, I decided to leave well enough alone (:
