need guidance

Hey everybody. I need some advice. I would like to know from experience the best way to build a 300 for HP and efficiency. It will be in a 1990 f350 frame and drivetrain. I've looked at offenhauser and clifford. The engines I have are a 1984 carbed and a 1988 fuel injected. I really would like to stay away from fuel injected because I really understand a carburetor and it's just simple. The cab that will be on the frame is a 1949 f5. FWIW - it's a build for my dad and ultimately the trucks working days are over. It will be his daily driver with a 5 speed transmission and in northern mn it needs to start good in the cold. Any advice would be great. Thanks!!

There are over 600 pages of info on this Forum so sit back, get comfortable with a supply of your favorite snacks and drinks and start reading and taking notes and then develop a plan for the build you want and work the plan. While you are doing all this, you will get a very good education on the Ford 240/300 I6.

The variables are many and there is no one-size-fits-all build for these engines that fits all applications.
