Just a question. Done some number punching and trying to figure out offsets and backspacing.
Assuming that stock tire size is 255 70 17 (according to a website), with a +44mm offset. That would give it about 6.8" of backspacing. Stock wheel sit just inside the fender I do believe, not quite flush with the fender??
I'm looking at a tire wheel combo. The truck has a leveling kit. The tires and wheels would be a 33 x 12.5 x 17 tire, with a 17" wheel of course, and a -12 offset. Given the offset, it should be about 4.5" of backspacing. So between the 2 that should be about 3" different than stock? I should have a tire and wheel that stick out further?
Not too great with the offset backspacing but think I got 'er figured there, any input would help!! I do want the wide stanced look, def not anymore than that if my calculations are right haha. Over 1.5" is illegal where I'm from if you're not running flares.
assuming stock wheels are 7.5" wide and the 17's your looking at are 9" wide, you would be looking at ~3" more width from each rim alone, so a track width increase of 6"... and that's before the wider tire too.
