Ok guys I know you are sick of wheel/tire questions but please bare with me. I'm lookin at a set of Incubus Alloy Recoils in the 20X10 size. They have a -25mm (thats negative 25mm) offset and a 4.5" backspacing. They will be wrapped in 325/50 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZs. My truck is a stock 99 4X4 F250. First question is how far are these going to stick out from the fender wells? And the second question is am I gonna have an issue with rubbing?
I think that your factory tire is a 285/75/16 which is a 33" tire and the 325/50/20 is also a 33" tire. It might have a slight rub when turning/turning when hitting a bump. Some 99's can run 35's with stock rims or a after market wheel that has a little more lip on the wheel. Here is a pic of my 2003 with a 18x10 Weld cheyenne with a 4.5 BS. The 10" rim and the 4.5" BS should look just like this. I am running a 35x12.50x18 tire with a 5.5" lift. My wheel sticks out about 1.5 to 1.75 inches. I looked up that tire and it has a 13.2" tread width. The back spacing might be to much to clear that tire. The other option to insure that it clears is to add a leveling kit to the front end. Hope this helps.
The stock tire on my truck was a 265/75/16 which is a 31.6 incher. Can you elaborate what you mean when you say the backspacing might be too much to clear the tire?
The tires will most likely stick out 1.5" to 2" on that wheel. I'd say you will have rubbing with that combo. I have a set of 20x10 Mazzi Hulk wheels with the same offset and backspacing with Toyo 305/55's and they rub on the inner fender at the rear and barely clear the bumper. This is with a stock suspension. I have a 4" lift coming to clear the tires.
I have found that with four inches of backspacing, my wheels have always rubbed on the leaf springs. 33", 37" and 40" have behaved the same on the 20x10 mojaves on Ol'Ugly
Thanks alot guys and sorry for the long line of questioning. I found another rim that I like... the XD Badlands in 18X9 with a -12mm offset and 4.5 inch BS. I can get them as a package mounted with Nitto Dune Grapplers in the 285/65 size. Which is about 32.5 inches in diameter and, according to Nitto's site, is 11.69 inches wide. Am I gonna have much of a problem with these? Also does anyone have any experience with the Dune Grapplers?
I've heard nothing but good things about the Terra Grapplers but I'm looking for something with a more aggressive sidewall and that wheel and tire package comes with the Dune Grapplers that have badass looking sidewall.
