trailer wiring

I bought a new enclosed trailer. When I hook it up to my 14 Eco the lights don't work inside it. Does Ford run a charge wire from the factory? I believe it's the wire that also charges the break away battery. That's what I call it anyway, I had to add it on my other truck. Just curious.

The black wire should have a constant 12 Volts. I think it is the pin that is near the key slot on the plug. I would have to double check the location to be sure.

the 12v charge wire will only be on with the ignition in the "on" position.

try the inside lights with the truck running.

if they still don't work, the fuse and relay may not have gotten installed at the dealership.

all the wires are there, but the fuse and relay should have come with the truck in the glove box. The dealers are supposed to install the fuse and relay, but sometimes they don't.
