Help removing wires

As the title states, I'm trying to finally wire in my up fitters into the fuse panel. And I know where it needs to go, I just can't get the wires out of the old connector. I've pulled the red "lock" out, but I can't figure out how to get the wires out.

Any help?

You need a.very small pick to release the tang on each wire .
They actually make a special tool for doing this .

I was using a mechanics pick, but I can't figure out how to release it. Is that tool different from a mechanics pick?
