Can in plant workers go over to other parts of the plants off hours to just BS or watch the auto making process? Or are you restricted to your work/designated areas?
Well we have different gates for final/body/paint. My badge only gets me into the turnstile at final. So the only way to go over to body would be to walk outside and walk along the road...And with all the traffic Ford does not want pedestrians on the roads.
I will say though I've been working all weekend moving trucks around on the complex...Just made me want one even more...And the 2.7 and 3.5 Eco have a lot of pep in them...Can't go wrong with either of those engine choices.

Great news! But I have two questions:
1.) When do the new 2015 F150 trucks begin shipping out to dealers?
2.) When do they actually appear at dealership lots?
There is usually about a one month quality hold starting from job 1. After that we get the o.k. to ship and it will be non-stop shipping of trucks...Other then that I can't give a set in stone date. But once we start to ship it will get to dealers fast.
This is a quote from today's edition of the Detroit Free Press:
"Ford just began shipping 2015 F-150s from its Rouge assembly plant in Detroit. The first customer should take delivery next week. Prices start at $25,420."
Is this true? 2015 trucks on lots next week before Thanksgiving?
