Body Shops???
I'm having a real hard time getting this work done on my truck. Every body shop I take it too is ticked because I ordered my own parts. They've openly told me that parts is were they make the biggest share of profit. I've even offered to tear the truck down so they don't have to and let them have the money the insurance company paid for them to do it.
Here is the problems two body shops have told me they have:
1. I bought my own parts
2. The insurance company wrote the check to me and not them
3. The last body shop did a crappy job on the roof and smoothing the emblems. The new body shop would have to fix those problems so people didnt' think that was their work.
Does anyone know in good body shops in or close to Wichita that do good work and are willing to work with you.
PLEASE HELP. My truck looks like crap and I can't find anyone to repair it.

May Dad has a part time shop up here in Beloit. Its not very close to Witchita, but he wouldn't mind any of those things. He just bought a new building and a 60 ft long paint booth. He does mostly either old resto's -- or quick fixer uppers but has been know to do all kinds of work. (And as some of the guys here know.. lot's of family work)
Let me know if you are interested and I will give you his number... I'll be at the swap meet this SAT if you will be at Spangles we can hook up.

North of Walmart, yes. Also North of Fat Boys 4x4. He also sells cars. If my rememberer is working correct it is the first building North of the old Little Big Tool Store place. Before it moved up on west street then went out of business. Not to be confused with the Big Tool store as that is on the other side and north of 63rd.

This is crazy. I called Sheltons to see if they'd gotten in touch with the insurance company. He flat turned me down. I asked him how much it would cost to make everything right and so he'd do the work. On top of the insurance companies estimate which will end up being $4500 or so. They want another $2000.
I guess tomorrow I'll be talking to several body shops. Hopefully, between you guys suggestions and shopping around I'll find someone.

Good News!!!!!
I drove to Winfield KS today to talk to a body shop that Shane Sloan knows the owner. He didn't hesitate at all. As a matter of fact he is repainting the whole truck and some other various parts.
IT"S GOING TO BE AWESOME!!!!!!
That gives me enough to do my interior also. It's going to be a whole new truck when it gets back.
The only bad thing is I have to wait till Feb 14th. But who cares.....It's gonna rock.
