Steering Box Install
Hey all im way over due for a steering gear box. 35x12.50s since 2006 @ 100k mi and now at 250k.
Ive adjusted the box a few times and now am in fear of doing it any more. Its getting really sloppy.
Ball joints tie rod ends blah blah blah are all good.
Dose anyone have a write up on this ????? Never done it and just want to be prepared ahead of time.
Also on the box. OHHHHH MY i want a RedHead but my gosh thats expensive. Like 350 or something like that. I know they are HIGHLY recommended and virtually trouble free and last. But i guess thats the price you pay for quality. Has any one installed any other brands or have other recommendations on a GOOD not redhead quality but GOOD box at a GOOD price ? Not a gear box that is filled with gold LOL.

I also herd that the lines were up dated for a noise issue after 2000. Is this something that ford dose for free like a recall ? Read a post about it and i sure would like to find out because my system is noisy. Ive flushed according to the posted procedure and its still noisy. Figure mine might qualify for the new line.
