I have an 89' 7.3 IDI. In my first post, I identified 7 of 8 GP's that need replacing. While attempting to remove them, I found 7 would not come out. With the help of my new forum friends, PHY & 2020, it was identified that the tips were swollen.
I have read many of the forums tied to "Swollen GP's, leading me to the next string of questions.
1) Due to the labor that may be involved in removing the plugs would it be a better option to remove the heads?
2) If so, would you guys recommend replacing the injectors a at the same time?
In addition, I'm on the west coast and would be receptive to any recommended parts supplies you've used in the past.
Sincerely Appreciative, Shawn

Reason: said intake and meant heads
with my experience the top come off and just the tip is down in there. you just drill down into it and they can screw out. and you might need a thread tap to clean the treads back up.
