Yellow trucks

I have a 72 f100 Explorer that has a factory mustard yellow color on it and I think I would like to change it to a 2014 Camaro Yellow. Anyone have any pictures of some yellow ones that they wouldn't mind sharing? Just looking for some ideas. Don't beat me up for the GM paint,,lol

Thanks. Pat.

Ya know how some vehicles looks better in some colors and not others?

Good ! Bumps don't wear bright yellow very well in my opinion.

Here is an exception however....

HIO That does look very nice. I am thinking of getting rid of the chrome on the side, but that looks nice.
Thanks for sharing.

I like the side trim moulding as it takes the hits first in the parking lot.

If your truck has many coats of paint on it then most of the time large chips of paint comes off when dinged by some ones car door.

So I'd keep the side moulding.

The general rule of thumb is two paint jobs before you should sandblast and start over.

I learned to drive on a '69 that was yellow and cream two-tone. Yellow will always look beautiful to me.

Who goes by rule of thumb on an old truck. Theirs $300-easy $7k not many guys have will put an 7-8 k paint on a daily driver. Where the paint would most likely be striped.. $300-1000 job they'd strip the wax and shoot it.

I was out getting prices for paint and the cheapest was 12 grand. I thought five would have been lots. I really like the yellow but not sure of the chrome mine has it at the mid point but im thinking of welding up the holes.

Just for paint "ouch" but if in need of body work and a custom paint two stage paint maybe in line as what you wanted and what's needed.

But if you can do some of the stuff yourself may being down the price too.

And what ever color you like and choose is all that counts as being important as you have to live with it.

Not in love with this yellow, but it's starting to grow on me... I'd rather have it pearl blue.
