70swb That looks sweet. What shade of yellow is that? Are your inside fender skirts been modified you can see the tire in the pictures. Just wondering.
Thanks Pat.
Thanks youngone,
The guy that built this truck told me it was "Canary Yellow" although it was painted in 1981. Dont know if the shade is still around.
The fenders are fiberglass and they cut the inner fenders out. Used to be a no-kidding drag truck! I'm actually looking to go back to stock up front (aside from a crown vic swap)
Yellow is one of my favorite colors on these old trucks. Especially with some black 2 tone paint with it. Also having chrome trim really makes it stand out to. I like the yellow drag truck above I wouldn't change a thing on it.

Yes that does look nice. I was thinking of a black stripe on the bottom like the mustangs have well I guess its 3 stripes. I was thinking of using getting a decal and getting my last name cut into it similar to what the mustangs have.

Hmm If, I was to do the name bit like you say, I'd put F0RD FEVER this way everyone can enjoy your paint scheme. Long after you part with the vehicle..

When I'm dead my niece will have it and she will have the same last name until/if she get married.

I see on C/list & ebay vehicles being sold 2-3yr after it was left to them from an estate.
This vehicle is our dreams not theirs.
Family members have their dream toys of there own this what most people forget.. Some family members who end up with dad's or grandpas truck sell them as they don't really have an interest in it. So it sits out side or around in the back yard as it uses to much gas and needs work. It just becomes a rust bucket. Plus no one really likes or knows how to drive it.
Yes I plan on giving my son my truck where it will just sit in the hot & cold area of Las Vegas. He drives 70 miles a day to & from is job. So he won't be driving it to work. He's has 2 kids, a wife and 3 vehicle now and no real place to park it other then letting it sit out front in the street or plug up his two car short drive way. My old truck don't fit into his life at this time.
He rides dirt bikes he has 3 one for his young son. He's got a vw toy hobby street & racer that he drives to work.
So he would just end up selling not having a place to Store it..
That's life.

orich I hear you loud and clear. She is already a hoarder (and she is 9) so if she does get rid of the old truck she probably would get more for it than I would. The stripe on the bottom would be a decal so she could add or change it or even delete it.
Be sure to post some pics of this truck once you get it painted and decaled. These trucks in yellow catch my eye more then any other color on them bright but yet looks great.

I will do that. Anyone else got Yellow trucks? Thanks again.
