Dana 60's
#2
Heck, there are differences between my 1966 F250 2wd Dana 60 and 1966 F250 4wd Dana 60, so whatchu talkin' about? Seriously, you need to qualify your question a bit better. Too vague as it is.
In many cases, at least, the brakes are different among other things. Some 1966 Dana 60's had 12" x 2.5" brakes while all 1965 would be 12-1/8" x 2" brakes, I believe. This makes a difference in the drums. My 2wd has integral drum and hub while the 4wd is separate drum and hub.

All 1953/65 F250's have 12 1/8" x 2" front/rear brakes, as do some 1966/72's.
12" x 2 1/2" brakes introduced in 1966 F250's, standard equipment in 1966/72 F250 Camper Specials and with 7,500 lbs. GVWR
1968/72 F250 2WD's with optional dual piston caliper disc brakes have 12" x 2 1/2" rear brakes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two different Ring & Pinions, as their pinion gears have a different number of splines.
1956/65 and some 1966's have 10 splines. Some 1966's, all 1967/79's have 29 splines.
The companion flange that bolts to the pinion gear is also different, as some have 10 splines, some have 29.
