The last couple of times Ive had the truck out on the highway I noticed a slight vibration that seems to be getting worse. Almost feels like I am running some super aggressive mudders. 1000-2000 rpm when Im going over 45 under a load.
I was thinking carrier bearing and or ujoints but replaced them all about 40,000 miles ago.
Could see a little grease on the end of the ujoint cups but didn't feel any play.
Update:
Everything was tight and good.
Pulled the shaft and the carrier bearing was a little easy to spin so took the shaft to a drive line shop.
It was determined it was time to replace all three joints, the carrier and balance.
Shaft was a little out but they said not terrible.
I only got about 50k out of my Moog joints but Im thinking that the carrier wasn't shimmed right and a poor maintenance on my joints caused them to wear early.Took about 1/2" of shims off of the carrier.
Truck is smooth as silk now.
