Ford just called, says they can't really find anything wrong with the truck... so far. However the service writer told his techs they need to continue to investigate.
Is this an issue/problem on 2wd, 4wd or both? Has anyone experienced this while towing a travel trailed or 5th wheel trailer? I put more than 90K miles on my 2004 F250 cc long bed and never experienced a problem with the front end. All front end and steering components were stock and original when I traded it in with about 138K miles on it, even had original shocks. Is this a problem that showed up when the new (6.7) engine came out?
I understand I'm no help here but after all the problems I had with my 6.0 (and much money spent) I'm hoping not to have any inherent problems with my new truck.

" Death Wobble" can happen on any solid front axle equipped vehicle, and is no more likely to occur on your currant truck than your last one. If it does occur a though inspection of the steering componets and tires normally finds and resolves the issue. Installation of a cheap leveling kit can also cause a reduction of caster angle, causing it as well, but not relavent here.

Thanks for the update, DeeDubz. You may want to consider taking your tech along for a test drive so you can try to replicate what you've been experiencing.
Update, Ford called around 10 am told me that they are replacing the steering stabilizer and my truck is out of alignment again... The service tech was super nice over the phone and told me that they're going to get this problem fixed. He mentioned my tires will need to be replaced down the road but he's not convinced that its a tire issue. The steering stabilizer wasn't initially replaced my first trip to ford last month. He told me that it didn't meet the replacement under the warranty because it wasn't broken or leaking fluid... But he noticed that its out of spec and needs to be replaced. He spoke with his manager and they both agreed to replace it under the warranty. I asked if I would be paying out of pocket and he advised me not to worry about paying for anything at this point. Things are looking good, might be getting my truck back in a day or two.

Great news! I hope that fixes all of your problems.
My truck is back home, I was able to pick it up this morning. Very happy with the staff at Redlands ford they did a great job. The truck was cleaned inside and out. Awesome job ford, Im a happy / proud Ford owner.
What parts did they replace on the first trip to the dealer?
Having this happen to me in a past truck and finding the shock bushings SHOT I'd say it's most likely going to be either the front shocks or track bar bushings. The wobble I expirienced wasn't so much the steering as the axle hopping up and down alternately. Although it does violently shake the steering wheel. The only way to truley test the shocks are to mark them at their normal position, take them out of the vehicle (without turning them upside down or sideways and try to keep them at normal ride position) and see how much "free travel" they have before feeling resistance.

That's what I like to hear, DeeDubz! I'd like to document your feedback about this awesome experience in our system. To get started, send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, dealer info, and any specifics you'd like me to include. I'll do the rest.
