alternator mounting need help
so i have everything i need for my 3g alternator swap. the last thing i need to know is the best way to get this new alternator to fit. it is off of a mustang and the grounding bolt is hitting the block. i can't move it in any farther and the lower bracket is to short to reach the hole. what is my best option here. i am mow noting it to a 460 and the alternator has a 7" ear spacing. do i need to have a grounding wire from the alternator if it is mounted to the block that is already grounded to the battery. thanks

The bottom mounting hole on the 3gs has a little extra material that can be ground off so that the whole unit can move forward.
