My 292 just had valves redone and was resurfaced. Heads are ECZ-G. Put new Mummert Gaskets on Heads, went to reattach intake and no fit. Suspect i need to mill the intake to fit. Measured the deck tabs on the heads and got .93, .94, .94, and .96 readings off the 1" tabs.
Question, how much do i mill off the intake to accomodate the surface loss on the heads with those readings? What is the limit i can mill off the intake (ecz-9425-B), before the flanges get too thin? If i'm out of material on this intake, what are any other intake options for the 292? Engine is in a 56 f100 used for weekend 45 mph runs to home dept so high performance is not needed.
