High Idle Shake

I noticed today when I flipped the high idle on there is a VERY noticeable shake in the truck? What could possibly cause this?

Bad fuel, bad fuel filters, failing fuel pump, HPO leak, failing HPO pump, FICM problems, a fuel injector (or two), base engine issues like a valve, lifter, or rings, charging system or battery issues...um,,I'm probably missing a bunch of stuff.

Do you have an OBDII monitor of some sort? Sounds like it's missing, fuel pressure test and fresh filters are a good starting point.

No smoke of any kind--still need to get to the shop to get a contribution test--trying to do all I can at the house beofre I go that route.

My truck is having similar issues, however it only shows up when the engine is cold. I had a contribution test done on it a couple days ago, and I had the #8 injector showing up a little weak. Once the engine gets up to temp, the shakes go away.

However, I guess I won't know for certain if the injector is the issue until I get it replaced.....

question--if it is an injector going bad would a rebuild fix it or is that just a stiction fix?

If by rebuild you mean the spool valve polishing procedure in the tech folder -that's pretty much for stiction issues. Does it do it fully up to temp?

Thought that was the case. It did last week but not as bad as today. I hadn't started it until today since Thursday. It's definitely not stiction and what I notice most of all are the rpm changes ( not huge but noticeable) and the shake when high idle on ( same rpm swing)
