Mine got broken into while I was at the hospital on base while my wife was in surgery! *******s stole my code reader, garage door opener, and owner's manuals (of all random things). I think they got hurried off, because they left my console open and the tray out of it, in addition to my cup holder pulled out. Honestly, that's the only way I knew my truck had been broken into, since they didn't bust my glass or anything.
Man, I am sorry to hear about your truck and belongings. I have yet to add up the total of all the tools and stuff in my truck.. yeesh.
On a side note, at my church, I am in charge of security, and we patrol the parking lot during services. We even provide security during ladies meetings/baby showers/weddings.. whatever is going on, we have armed members present.

My old Jeep got broken into while I was at MEP's when I enlisted. Broke the window, stole the $50 Walmart special radio, a few CD's, my CB radio, and the cupholder change. Part that irritated me the most was all the damn doors were unlocked and they still went through the window. Ugh.
Wow. Being at MEPS sucks enough as it is, then having to walk out to the break in? That's even worse.
No, I don't think anything could make MEPS any worse. The 8 hours or so of hell can't be topped with anything to make it worse. It's like adding sugar to a Coke, you'll never taste the extra sugar because there is already so much there.

Funny thing is, I don't remember MEPS being all that bad. It was more than 15 years ago, and since I am Coast Guard, I did not have to go through all the same crap as some of the other branches... Honestly I barely remember the whole ordeal.
Thanks for the reply's!
Safelite is replacing it tomorrow ($278)
They left all my CD's and OBDII scanner, probably didn't know what it was.
For some reason I didn't carry a gun that day, good thing cause stays in the door in a soft case... or use to! Now it will be put in the glove box and locked, IF it needs to stay in the truck.

I'm willing to bet that would have really sparked an immediate response from the police, assuming you call them. "My truck was broken into and they stole my gun."
Glad to hear it won't be an insane bill for window replacement. Always sucks when stolen items overall cost less than the window replacement.
