Speedometer cable

Hi guys, I'm having a hard time finding the right speedometer cable for my bump. I had order it from 3 different places and each time the cable does not fit my bump. (the cable looks the same each time) I have a 71 f250 camper special with an automatic transmission.

This is the portion of the cable that broke while removing the cluster

And this is the new cable that does not fit. Please help!

I don't see anything broken either. Looks like the cable just has to be pushed back in the housing. You might have to R&R the speedo driven gear at the other end of the cable to get the cable core back where it's supposed to be.

the part that holds it into the cluster. The threaded part. That is what looks broken to me.
