im draining the coolant, and i got the thinking. the way to drain the radiator is great, simply great. you plug in a tube, run tube into container, turn faucet, and presto, coolant out, not a single drop spilled (so long as you place the bucket under where the coolant that leaks outta the stopcock and off of the frame.) the engineer who designed this deserved a cookie.
the block drian, however, sucks. as soon as you take out the plug the coolant comes flying out, praying in my face and all over the block, pan, and whatever else is there. the engineer who designed this deserved to be kicked in the nuts.
is there anyting to prevent me from buying one of these faucet dealies of the same thread size as the plug, and just screwing that into the block drain? the bottom of the block doesnt get really hot, and if the coolant travels there fisrt it shouldt be any hotter than the bottom of the radiator, right?
