sputtering / missing

95 F150 w/ 300 and mazda 5 speed. In 5th gear the truck will feel like it's starting to miss or not getting enough fuel. I can back off the throttle and it goes away, or I can shift to 4th and slow down and it goes away. I pulled & plugged the vacuum line on the EGR and it didn't change it at all. I also have the AMP warning light flashing, but it seems to be flashing a code 51 (always 5 blinks, then a short pause, then 1 blink, then a long pause and it starts over).

Any ideas??
