Hi, have a 1995 F150 w/ 5.0, 11o0K miles, has always run perfectly until tonight when I was selling it, all but sold and then the check engine light fired up. people were amazingly discrete informing me that they were all set to purchase vehicle until they pulled back up our driveway, then light fired, and now they want it fixed before considering anything further. Checked w/ scanner and was given codes 565 - canister purge circuit failure, 332 - insufficient EGR and 311 which I haven't yet figured out. Any suggestions of which gizmos should be ordered and replaced would be greatly appreciated, I need to fix this thing quick, lack of cash flow is killing us, many thanks
My 95 was giving me a 311 code( Thermactor sys inoperative) come to find out I wasn't holding the throttle down long enough in the koer test. As for the other codes they are easy to fix. I would check the connectors first for corrosion then put some dielectric grease clear the codes and try again.

One of a few possible issues for the 332. I will start with the cheapest to the most expensive-
1. Cracked or faulty vacuum line/connection from EGR valve to EVR. A simple vacuum test at all these connections will eliminate this. That 565 code might be a vacuum issue somewhere... that might eliminate your 332 code as well.
2. EVP voltage is not correct. Should be 0.2-0.5 at closed throttle.
3. EVR solenoid has crapped on you. This can throw a 332-334 code.
4. EGR valve is sticking. Pull the vacuum line off the EGR while it is running and pump up the EGR with 12-16 in of vacuum. If the truck stumbles and wants to die, the EGR is opening fine. If the truck runs normally, your EGR valve is shot.
