Stumbled upon these on an auction that ends tonight. not sure if they are from a 39 as listed, because I have little experience with the oldies but goodies.
This stuff was pulled out of a grove it looks like, but it looks like it is going to go for about its weight in scrap. As of right now, there is about 20 minutes left and it's at $185. If it were not two hours away from me, I might have given it a look.
I'm not sure how much availability you guys have in body parts, so I figured I'd let you know about these anyway.
That cab is a 42-47. The cab does not have a pop out windshield, the wiper is mounted under the windshield, if it was pop out the wiper would be above windshield. The door glass is metal framed, this was introduced in '42. The cab does not have the 3 rib beltline that '39 does, the 40-47 beltline was different. And yes, that front sheet metal is most definitely 42-47.
I don't see the front sheet metal. Does it have grille bars? I need grille bars.....Oh and yes, definately agree with all of you. 42-47 for sure.
Look at the strip of photos asking the bottom of the main picture, there is a little arrow at the end of the row, lets you scroll through. There are grille bars, but center ones look chewed up. The auction is over as well, somebody got a pretty sweet deal.
