Bought the heavy duty serpentine belt. Also I think the pulley nearest the dipstick that you can see in the following link has a squeak or grind in it.
Your photo is of the AC compressor. Is that what's squealing, or is it the tensioner right beneath it? The tensioners do fail, and can squeal. Search this forum for pics of bad ones, and compare them to yours.
It sounds like the AC compressor wheel has a minor grinding noise but its hard to pinpoint.
The squealing could be coming from that or the belt. I could have 2 noises going on. I'll get a friend to hit the throttle so I can listen better for where the sound is coming from.
what kind of milling is done to that coolant filter water pump? id like to get one from international for cheaper and do the milling myself to get that spin on filter setup.
Just as a follow up. I replaced the serpentine belt with the new heavy duty one after lubing up all of the pulley bearings & wiping the faces on them really well.
Drove it around the neighborhood and no more squeal.
Everything is quiet now. Confirmed that the water pump went in perfectly.
