turbos

so I have been looking to change my turbo out from the s300sx3-66 to a larger turbo, or add a atmosphere turbo in front of my 66mm. as of right now I like the quick spool of the 66 but if falls off at about 2700-2800rpm and starts to create to much back pressure and is overspeeding and not getting a complete burn on my fuel. would like to keep the 66 cause of towing don't want to loose that quick spool.

Am looking for some feed back on a couple turbos for a single turbo setup, t88 which is a 74mm inducer and hx60 which is a 76mm inducer. has anyone ran these and how did you like them and does anyone have a compressor map for them.

my other option I have been looking at is a ht4b turbo for a atmosphere. looking for a map for this one cant find one anywhere so I can map it out with my 66mm.

I am sending my injectors in next week (230/100 sureflow) to get looked at and was thinking of going to a 250/100 sureflow or a 300/200 hybrid, not sure on which yet got to get prices but either route I need to address the turbo issue whichever way I go

just found all my mapping from when I did the 66 and I am moving 82lbs/min (1188cfm) at 40psi boost and 3800rpm, I just put that on the 475 and it is right in the middle of the 72% island on the compressor map so I should be looking good with a hx60 but maybe a little big on the t88,

anyone run that hx60 turbo and have experience with it

I've never heard of anyone running it.

Somewhat OT: Is your T500 keeping up with those injectors? You might be loosing pressure at high rpms and that's why you aren't getting a complete burn.

I gotta ask. What kind of power did it take to break that crank.

I have had this issue with oil dropping off since about 2 years ago and I talked to mike at farmers and he had some issues with check ***** and plunger not sealing correctly. Just got them pulled out tonight and going to send them out Monday. I have a friend running 325/200 on a t500 and no oil issues.

I had some timing issues and had my propane set to high so it just slowly hammered the crank tell it snapped.

I was looking threw our parts room the other day and found a borgwarner s4t off a mtu 16v2000 engine. It looks like it is the same as the s4t big brother turbo and did my mapping with a total boost of 72psi and it will put me about 10lb/min below max of the big brother

Here is the book I have read it is old but covers everything really good still learning and have read threw it probably. 3-5 times covers everything from outlet temp on a charger to finding cfm for compounds and how to figure out density ratio of air before and after intercooler

It's called turbochargers by hugh macinnes

So I have an odd ball question, has anyone seen or heard of a wastgate turbine housing for the borgwarner s300sx3-66. Was wondering cause I have seen these out there on some turbos and would make it so much easier then rebuilding up pipes

Does any one have any readings of there intercooler inlet temp and outlet temp or know the efficiency rating of the stock cooler. Trying to figure out my actual intake temp at my different boost pressures.

Anyone running a s480 just mapped it and it looks like it will be along the lines of the center island and with my s366 I will be in the center of the island at both a 2.0pr and 2.5pr which will give me 45psi and 75psi think this May be the turbo to go with I am going to map all the other pr from 2.1 threw 2.4 tomorrow but I think I will be in the same general area.

Anyone know a stock turbo that is comparable to the s480
