So I got my injectors running and everything, and now that I am pushing 39 lbs of boost i doubt that my turbo will hold for long, so once my turbo goes what would be a good turbo to upgrade to?
Ive heard a lot about the h2e being good and GT38r...
with the injectors you got i think i'd look at the modded H2E, S366(w/ extended tip, BE CAREFUL), or a 38R. i would go for the 38R last as i'm a garrett turbo hater, but if you like 'em it will work for ya also. i think anything much over 66mm and you will get hard to spool in certain street situations, but i could be wrong. the modded H2E is good past 500hp and you don't have the fuel to pass 500hp so my first pic would be the modded H2E
I have the modded H2e with stage II's (180cc) and absolutely love it. It pulls hard accelerates well and pumps enough air to keep her cool when towing.
H2e is my vote. Mainly because I have it and I am very satisfied.
I saw that turbo on eBay not to long ago and it wasn't going for $700. I am about 99% sure it was the same one because of the markings on the top of the compressor housing and the dings in the compressor housing intake. I posted it up here not to long ago so I will try and pull up the post and see if I mention how much it was going for. But my vote would be a modded H2E aswell.
yes that is the same exact turbo that I found on eBay not to long ago, and it sold for $500 so this guy is just tryin to screw ya. And when I posted it on here Tim pointed out to me that it has a different connecting style on the compressor side, v-band instead of silicone boot I believe. I say nay on that turbo, you'd be better off buyin the while kit from beans or someone like that.

I was wondering if it was that turbo... nice catch! BTW, whats the big deal about the V-band vs. a boot on the outlet? Seems you could make either setup work.
Well I was told that you can use either style it is just that it would be one more obstacle to overcome during the install. If you were making your own kit then it wouldn't matter cuz you would plan that into the build, but it you bought a kit then you would have to make some changes to it. And at $700 your not saving much on the turbo, and at that price it isn't even modded yet, so your better off just purchasing it in the kit IMO.
hel* Travis you make the kit for me and I'll buy the turbo's. It will make up for your little spinning jack up the sleeve for this summer hahaha. And then I'll start mass producing them for use dinosour OBS drivers haha.

nah, cody make kit. he is the master fabricator up in here. i'd prolly end up with all kinds of stuff blowing up if i made my own turbo kit. haha. gonna see if Cody is down for helping me with a mounting kit tho.
see that is the only thing that I don't know about. How do you hook up the secondary charger, cuz I've got the skills to build the set-up but I just don't know enough about doing it. My up coming project may call for a second spinny thing and I wouldn't mind makin my own kit.
I plan on going T4 within the next year on my 95 and it seems like I get a different opinion every time I ask the question: "What SXE turbo will fit 175/30 injectors?" I've gotten anything from the 364.5 with .91 AR housing to a 366 with 1.0 housing. (Injectors aren't final either, it's those or 160/0)
Both Carson and Jody from DP recommended the 366, while UDP/Irate/1023 recommended the 364.5. 1023 was the only the recommend the 1.0 housing (My truck is an auto). Carson stated they're currently running a 366/74/1.0 turbo on their shop truck with an auto and 160/0 injectors and love it.
For those that have played around with the AR housings, is there really any reason to run a 1.0 over the .91? Irate has said they run the .91 up to 550hp, and this truck is mainly a daily driver unloaded, but I want to be able to hook up to 10k at most if need be. I don't have anything to pull around, but the general vibe I'm getting is to rock the 364.5/74/.91 turbo.
