Vin number where?

Vin number where?
who knows where to find vin numbers I need help. The vin plate on the door has been taken off and I haven't been able to locate another number on a 1969 f-100. Any help would be helpful.

Its on the front passenger frame rail on top by the engine. It may be hard to see if your frames rusty or covered in all these years of dirt and grease build up. A wire brush may be handy to help find it.

The VIN is stamped in the top of the frame rail as noted under the cab and many times just ahead of where the axle passes under. The digits run length wise, can be hard to dig out sometimes, but ARE there.
