I have a 2001 F150 4X4 super crew 4.6L. I have recently been experiencing a surge in acceleration when I let off the gas. Also at times when I am at a complete stop and go to take off the engine will rev and not go anywhere then all of the sudden it like kicks into gear and chirps the tires. Why would this be happening?
None of the above!
If the motor is revving in gear and your not moving forward, I believe there may be a transmission issue, not?
Good luck.
^^I gotta agree ^^ just weeding out the simpler things 1st.
would this be more symptomatic of low transmission fluid? or torque converter issue ? or valve control?? or combination of previously mentioned?
