'93 f150 5.0, i have a consistent high idle. around 2000 rpm. its not throwing any codes. throttle cable is not adjusted. new airfilter, no plugs any where/can't find any leaks. any ideas guys
Either there has to be a vac leak or your IAC valve has gone bad. Unplug the IAC w/ the truck idling- if the engine starts stumbling or dies, it's good.
Are you positive you checked everything in the vac system? Not just lines, but reservoirs too- your servo may be vac powered as well.
Check the voltage on your TPS. At idle with throttle closed it should be just under 1 volt. If it's a little high, the TPS has a little wiggle room due to the sloppy screw holes in the sensor housing, so you can "adjust" it down.
