Transfer case blown!

My first post is not a good one! Bought a 2000 7.3 excursion with 170k on it. New tranny was the selling point for me. My brother went to look at it and test drive it and supposedly put it in 4 wheel drive drove around backed up went fast and all that stuff. Well it was leaking on the transfer case when it got to me 350 miles away. I could see some small bulges on the case cover like something inside was pushing out on it and thats where the leak was. Figured that was bad and pulled the drain plug to find alot of metal clogging it. So I am shopping for a transfer case now! I found quite a few on ebay here is the one i am looking at whats do you guys think good deal?

Not sure on that price. I do find it odd that a t-case let go! they are usually pretty solid. one thing to make sure of is that it has the same size tires front and rear and that it has the same axle gearing front and rear.
