tranny fluid

Quick question. Is Mercon SP interchangeable with Mercon LV? I thought they didn’t make the SP anymore. I ordered some form diesel filters online and didn’t realize that I received the SP stuff. Thanks for any info you can send my way.

Yes they are compatible and can even be mixed. Lv was supposed to replace sp but it never did. At least not yet.

This maybe true for the Torque Shift 5 but are you sure it's OK for the Torque Shift 6?

If the ts6 calls for either one then I wouldn't be afraid of either one. If not comfy with that logic, I'd ask your dealership service dept. for their op. Chances are they will use which ever one they have in stock or is cheaper for them at their cost. JMHO

I just checked my manual and it only calls out the LV fluid.
