'87 F250 differential

OK, call me stupid but, what is the two-wire electrical connection on the differential of my '87 F250 lariat? I'm tracing all the wires from the rear to the front of the truck and replacing everything to make like new. I've never seen anything like this before.

Ring gear speed pickup for the RABS (Rear Anti-lock Brake System). Also used for speedometer pickup, but that function might be in later year trucks than yours.

Like Torky2 said, its speed sensor for the ring gear. Electronic speedometer didn't come until 92, so an 87 only uses it for the RABS system. Considering the RABS in these trucks sucked, you could probably just clip them off.
