In the interest of keeping the budget down on my 68 F100 build I've been searching for a donor vehicle with a 351w. After a disappointing loss of a 84 camper van with an HO 351w I found a 79 LTD with 68000 miles on the odo. Belonged to an old guy who passed. Just dragged it home this afternoon. A grandson changed the oil and replaced plugs and wires. Purrs nice. I just looked on the door sticker and the trans says WQQDD. Not sure if its a C6 or C4. The Axle code is G.

 

W= C4.
QQDD are the codes for the 2 front springs and the 2 rear springs.
Axle code G is 2.26 non locking. Yep...2.26.
