Is this possible?
08 F-350 Crew Cab short box. Brand New 6.4 litre DFC diesel. Has about 120,000km warranty left and about 2 years on engine. Changed all oils and inspected everything at 200,000 km. No issues at all on driveline. New motor has AFE intercooler, S&B cold air intake, New rockers in motor, ARP head bolts & Studs, egr delete, machined block and heads for perfect match. Gets between 8-13 litres/100km. 27,000 dollars in extras with out price of new motor. New motor was about 24,000 with new high pressure pump and all extras added into motor. 10" fabtech lift, 40" toyo tires, and 20" fuel wheels. Truck is mint condition. Extremly well taken care of, never smoked in, offroaded, pretty much all highway km's.
I'm curious about these fuel economy numbers. They seem nutz! I asked for some clarification and this is how he says he achieved them.
I took off the dpf and chipped and new exhaust. New gears ratio, all new internal motor parts . Cerelo rods and Pistons, after market rockers, s&b ram air, afe intercooler, egr delete, new injectors, arp head studs & gaskets. That's how the truck gets such good mileage. On really good days it gets around 8-9 litres / per 100 km, on average it get around 10-13 litres per 100. That's if ur speeding a little and not paying attention to gas mileage. But if drive truck speed limit ull get the 8-9
Most people I've talked to with lifts seem to get in the 18l/100km range, thats about 13mpg. He's claiming twice this, around 26mpg. Is this possible?
thanks
on the other hand if your buying a truck that size.....mpg's should be the last thing your concerned with.
