It's time for new tires, and my stock rims are too narrow for the size tire I want, P265/75/16.
I'm looking at Craiglist for used sets, and there's lots of 8-bolt rims from newer F-250's, such as this one: F250 factory wheels and tires.
Will the newer bolt patterns work? If not, what years should I be looking for? Surely someone has done this before, and knows which years/models work as a direct swap.
I could go with P235/85/16 on my stock rims, but the rims are ugly and that size tire is too skinny and makes the truck look funny IMO.
Any ideas for inexpensive used rim/tire combos would be much appreciated!!
1953-97 use the standard 8X6.5 pattern. 98 and newer use a metric pattern, which will not work. Some Dodge wheels are the same 8X6.5 pattern as the Ford.

Watch out on the Dodge wheels, I recall the center hub area may be smaller than the Ford's hub area. You will have to open up the hub area then.

Some do. I actually had a conversation with a guy from Craigslist that bought some engine parts from me, who put 99 dodge ram 3/4 ton wheels on his 71 F250 and he mentioned that. He said he had a hell of a time finding wheels to fit that had the right size center hole. He has the "slotted mag" type Dodge wheels, showed me a pic. Looked really nice on that truck.
My friend got a set of Dodge wheels for his 92 F250, didn't fit the hub, so we rounded out the Dodge wheel to fit the Ford's hub. He said it was about 1/8" to 3/16" had to removed from the Dodge rim.
