Rocker Switches

I am looking at a couple rocker switches to be mounted on my dashboard, really on my instrument bezel but wanted to ask if anyone has seen a rocker switch like this but said Flood Light instead of Spot Light?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLUE-ROCKER-SWITCH-LASER-ETCHED-20A-12V-SPOT-LIGHTS-UTV-BOAT-/141185933597?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20df56611d&vxp=mtr
I am going to track down a better shape instrument cluster bezel doesnt matter if it is with or without A/C as if its without I can just cut the bezel and install my dealer vents back in. But what I am wanting to do how ever is to install two rocker switches or one if I can find an illuminated one in either On-On-Off or On-Off-On fashion, in the factory location of the fog lamp switch on the 80-86 trucks.

If I remember right when I had the bezel last off theres a opening in the dash shell which the wiring and switches should pass through. But I dont want to install two rocker switches that say Spot Light, be hard to tell which one is for which set of Auxiliary lights.

I also need one in a blue led, seems the blue led ones look very close to the ultra blue LED`s I used in my dash illumination conversion.

If anyone know of any sources that I can check pertaining to rocker switches like the one above please let me know. I never been into these style of switches and I just always bought traditional chrome toggle switches, but I figure I want to do this right.

I've bought more than a few different types and configurations of automotive-type rocker switches through eBay.

While the "marine grade" of electrical components are said to be of the highest quality that extra high price isn't justified for our uses. If a needed/wanted part is available only from a marine dealer then that's tough luck but looking around same quality lower price alternatives are readily available.

True they are alternatives. Down side is I really dont like the look of the ones I found that has a square window with painted on icons and the window illuminates.

I am not at the point of purchasing just yet though, I kind of dont want to install two rocker switches to do the job I want them to do, but I found a chinese vendor that can custom make me an on-off-on DPDT rocker switch like the one shown above. Down side is I would need to wire in a diode to prevent back feeding.

This how ever is the one I am actually looking at, its made by Air On Board they make marine as well as automotive switches.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLUE-ROCKER-SWITCH-LASER-ETCHED-20A-12V-SPOT-LIGHTS-UTV-BOAT-/141185933597?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20df56611d&vxp=mtr
But if i go with their switches I will have to run two switches as they dont offer a DPDT switch. I am still awaiting a response on a custom made switch, they said if you dont see what you want they can custom make it.

Here's my so far favorite illuminated switch:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261613240212?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
That general design and style is readily available in different brands and such but as you say they're quite rare in DPDT. Here's one without the illumination:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Paneltronics-Switch-Dpdt-Black-On-Off-On-Waterproof-Rocker-/301346073253?pt=Boat_Parts_Accessories_Gear&hash=item4629a02aa5&vxp=mtr
Generally that overall look has become known as "contura"---its been copied by so many companies its impossible to keep track.

I think On Board Air's extent of custom made may stop at the printed logo though, not the switch mechanical portion.

I get the idea behind seeking a particular look or style---these do have to fit into our exteriors without looking like a fleet truck or an after thought.

I wonder if you could swap the front toggle to one of the DPDT switches. I don't imaging there are too many manufacturers of the switches themselves. Never looked into it before, but it might b e doable.

Correct. The size of the toggle is actually about the same size as the foglamp bezel made into the dash on the 80-86 trucks that had them.

Now what I was thinking is they have one that is DPDT but it says "Camera 1 / Camera 2". If they can just simply make the switch to say something like "Spot Lights / All Lights" then that would work for me.

All I would have to do is just wire in a diode so when switching on to position 1 for just the spotlights on the push bar it wouldnt back feed and illuminate all the lights.

On a side note I found one that said "Headlights" and the on indicator was one of those trucker girls with the headlight rays coming off the breasts.

I also found one that said "bunny burners" and one that didnt make much sense but I get what it ment though, but it said "Bury Ya *******".

Thats what I am hoping for, I asked that company cause they have that one that says Camera 1 and Camera 2 which isnt a momentary switch like the "winch in / winch out" switches. If they can take that switch and change the text on it I can use that.

If not I am seriously thinking about just mounting a chrome DPDT toggle under the dash seeing as how I wouldnt really be playing with the switch much.
