Perfect timing for me but I was going to take the 07 to the shop for my NYS inspection and a OBD code popped up. P0446 Evap system. I checked the gas cap, checked for leaks, finally disconnected the battery, and the code went out. Next day, the code is back. I searched for answers online but all were for 6.0 diesels not a 3.5L. Has anyone run into this? can't get it inspected until I fix the code.
I saw that link earlier and followed it except for digging out the pigtail. I did clean the solenoid and the plunger works. I appreciate the help and will continue looking this weekend when I have time to tear it apart to find the canister. This has been a PITA to figure out. Thanks again for the help, always welcomed!
my DD kept throwing EVAP codes...cap looked fine-no cracks or anything, but it kept throwing codes after being reset-bought a new cap for $15 and never had an issue since. try a new cap?
Found the problem and it was something I thought was ok. A solenoid under the driver's side that I took apart, cleaned and checked with a volt meter. Garage did a smoke test and found that it would not open.

Not a cheap fix but the car passed inspection.
Thanks for the help.
