So I have had this issue for a while with my 14 EB throwing a p0451 on start up, seems to happen when is been raining all night or humid. It usually would go away on it's own. Last week the mil came on I had p0451 pending a p0451 freeze frame and a p1450 pending. This morning I checked had a p0451 freeze frame and a p1450 pending. I assume the code that has freeze frame info would be considered an active code so my questions is how can you have an active code and a pending code for the same system and how can one drop off?
Any ideas what may be the issue with these two codes?
thanks
Brian

The freeze frame code is not necessarily an active code.
It is the code that caused the CEL to be turned on.
It may or may not be currently active.
A pending code is a code that was detected but has not met the requirements to be a permanent code.
Typically a pending code is a code that needs to fail in two successive trips to become a permanent code.
Firstly thanks for taking the time.
so if the p0451 with freeze data turn on the mil what does it mean that the p0451 pending dropped off with the mil still on? I thought that if the fault didn't show itself for a few cycles the mil would turn off put the pending code would stick around for a few more? Does the fact the pending code dropped mean the fault hasn't occurred again?
regarding the pending p1450 how many cycles with no fault detected before it drops off?
Research seems to point at the pressure switch for these codes but just trying to diagnose myself before taking to the dealer to have them drop the tank and charge me a bundle
