ignition wiring questions

in the pic below just wondering how ds2 ignition is actually wired up(in the 3 into 1 connection).my original ford diagrams kinda suck.pink wire is resitor and brown/pink(bottom is supposedly starter bypass wire.i converted to efi and needed a 12v run/start wire.I initially was just using the red/yellow wire for 12v start/run but truck didn't want to start first try half the time.when truck starts there is good values at the wire but 0 when no start.tried a jumper from red/yellow to big red green wire and starts first try every time.i haven't tested it yet but is the starter bypass just 12v on start?(i didn't separate any of those wires in the 3 into one other than the resitor(thinking it may feed back??).running truck with the jumper wire in now.and wanting a permanent wiring solution.
any help appreciated.thanks

in pic (not mine) PINK WIRE -RESISTOR GREY/PURPLE -STARTER BYPASS

I'm not sure what the question is as it isn't easy for me to get my head around the text since there's no capitalization nor spacing to delineate the start of sentences. Usually on posts like that I just pass right on by. But on this one I'll post the wiring diagram and hope that'll answer the question - whatever it is.

The best answer will be to use a relay.
The output of the "3 in 1 out" splice will be used to energize the relay. The relay then provides the needed 12 volt source.

You should butt splice together the resistor wire you cut.

I think he is trying to use the existing wiring to provide a FULL VOLTAGE source to power new EFI system... it was a guess, not really sure.

Thanks, but I'm not willing to guess. If I can't get my head around it I'm not going to give someone info that may be wrong. Not that you did, but I'm just explaining why I usually just pass on a post I can't easily understand.

sorry -just trying to cram info into a short space.with your diagram it's way clearer.the brn/pk is just start and the red/grn is run they just splice together to give 12 run AND start.I also wan't really sure on how the resistor was tied in.the jumper wire i have in now starts the truck works and gives full 12v, but after work will find a more dedicated source under dash.
thanks,
will try to be more detailed and clearer next time.

I don't normally read posts where the guy won't take the time to use decent punctuation, capitalization, etc. If he won't take the time to make it easy for me to understand, I'll go on to help someone else. Call me old-school, but that's the way it is.

I agree... using text-ese-type of shorthand such as im, id, u, etc. turns me off and I rarely help people who write like that (and many end up on my Ignore List).

You're not texting your BFF here about what movie you want to go see, you're asking some very smart & experienced people for technical advice on your truck; act like it.

I wonder what kind of EFI he's running? I thought if you were using EECIV for EFI you were by default using TFI for the ignition system, as the DSII can't interface with the computer...or can it?

No, it can't; the DSII is standalone electronic ignition, non-computer-controlled.

I'm using a ford racing harness with 93 stang sensors/computer.It is a stand alone system.I was just having issues finding a good start/run wire .the one that I initially used had good power on both start/run but when truck didn't start first try(which was 1/2 the time) it had 0v.I think I have it figured out now.

I just re-read my original post ..
I may have missed a 'the' or the odd 'I' not in caps but I clearly see what are periods in between sentences.but any way..........I'm not here to nitpick as I thought I explained it ok?? the diagram did help
