cruise control not activating

I HAVE heard something about the dash being involved in this ......odd, but that's Ford. My dash has been replaced by a FleaBay unit by the PO So I am uncertain on that issue. I have not been able to check out the servo as yet.
I have also read that the servo cable which conteols the throttle may be broken at the servo end of the cable. More as I progress. OH,I am not at home and have not checked out the brake lights yet either.....

i just hooked up my dash again and my cruise control works fine again. It might be somthing not connected in the dash or something. When i take the dash back out this week i will test and let u know. But i want to say its the 4x4 switch unit with the other 2 buttons that might be it since thats the only thing i really didnt have in when the dash was out.
Oddly , my 4x4 works but the dash lights do NOT!!
Anyway, like I said, I will follow up here as I get DEFINITE results I will post them.

thats the only thing i dont have hooked up and also the cig lighters. Thats why i was think 4x4 switch with the 2 other switchs might be it. Let us know man. Hope its a easy fix
