I read in the latest Summit catalog that they have DUI dizzies for $200. I believe it said 'selected models,' so that most likely means sbc's galore, and Ford's double the price.
AB, I know you said you would like one, so I posted this for you.

I saw the ad and assumed the 300 would be lumped in with others, but no way. Still, it does amaze that it could be sold for $200 for one model, and more than double that for another.
Would the street distributer work best for a more or less stock engine, truck is used mostly for daily driving but with occasional trailer pulling duties? I planon eventually replacing the intake with a offy C, efi exhausts and not sure which carb yet (for simplicity sake may just be a 2100). I am fairly new to this type of work, but would like to start the planning stages early enough to be able to keep an eye out for good deals. Any input is always appreciated.

I can't see any difference between the street and the race one on Summit's website except for one is in stock and one is not, so I'm 99% sure that the race one is custom order, i.e. DUI offers custom tuning to your specific application. So if you're wondering which one is best for your truck, order the race one.
I phoned Summit asking about this a while back, and they said that all you have to do is make a note somewhere that this is a custom order and you need to list your vehicle's details. Which details? Here's DUI's own order form on their website.
Trozie, thank you for your input. I had read through their order page and saw were they were looking for engine info, but could not find any real data between the two different models. I just always assumed that the racing version would be for a highly modified engine, but that may still be the best option, as they would set it up to match the actual engine.
