Bedline the Body

Bought a 2015 F250 CCLB two weeks ago. Spray on bedliner and undercoating are on the list of things to be done. I live in New England so rust is a big issue here. Swung by a friend's house to show him the new truck. He tells me that his...I think father it was, had the bottom 6" of the body of his truck bedlined. They matched the color of the bedliner to the color of the vehicle too. You can only tell its bedlined by the texture; otherwise its not noticeable. Tells me after seven years there isn't one spec of rust. I found it interesting.

Anyone done this? Thoughts?

Both of those become rust contributors if done after the first snow/salt exposure. Undercoating especially must be done on a clean and dry body, if there is any moisture it is simply encapsulated and allowed to eat through more quickly.
