So as the camping season comes to a close, boo, its time to put the 5er to bed and that means the old 6.0 goes into hibernation as well. So I have a list of things that I hope to get done this winter that I have been neglecting.

1. Im thinking about removing my A-pillar Guages and going with the Edge CTS. I have installed a few of theses on customers trucks and I really like them, and having the ability to add a camera is nice too. My only concern is does it have the ability to do fuel pressure, I would like to have 1 monitor for everything.

2. Install my Viair System that Ive had sitting around in the shop, my Air Lift Compressor Finally totally pooped out on me so I need to get this done.

3. Install the FASS I bought from Tim early this year, but here is where things go wacky for me, Im thinking about doing my head gaskets and studs this winter, but I have no puking and the truck runs great so Im up in the air. I still have some weird shifting that I cant seem to sort out and was seriously considering pulling the trans and rebuilding that and waiting on the studs. Im not a tranny guy so I was going to spend the money and have FORD run a diag on it and see if there is really anything going on. Fluid is nice and clean, both filters and fluid was replace and flushes were done at 30 and 60k truck now has 74k on the clock.

Last but not least I was going to replace the carpet, add some sound deading, do the door seal mod, and add a permanent CB antenna. I have a K40 now but don't like how it looks like a big hump on the roof, also don't like how tall it is so Im searching for options here.

After the 6.0 nightmares Ive been dealing with at the shop I may just trade my truck and be done with it, but I still cant get over the sticker shock...so Im up in the air on that too. Guess the sad reality is that getting rid of my truck just doesn't make sense to me.

The cts will do fuel pressure but you have to by the expansion kit and the fuel pressure kit and the universal adapter it's a couple hundred on top of what you pay for the cts

 

are you planning on selling your gauges? What kind are they and is it a 4 gauge pillar?

 

#2 on list if you decide to sell pillar gauges.

 

I will most likely sell the gauges, its just a 3 pod A-pillar with EGT, Boost and TFT.

It wont be until later this winter when I get the truck in the shop. I will keep everyone posted.

Im thinking of having the FICM tuned, Atlas 40 should work with my 155's nicely I think.

Add a Helwig rear sway bar as well.
