Learning as I go

I bought a 2000 F350. It has a 6" inch fabtech lift. Long story short I need to get some proper rims that will seat properly and give the truck its proper turning ratio without rubbing. I've only got 33 in tires on there on 17 inch rims.
I'm looking for any suggestions on how to find compatible rims for a 6 inch lifted F350. Or anyone that has this truck and has the same lift, I'd gladly look at what you've got on your ride.
Thanks.

You have a 6" lift and you are rubbing with 33"?
If your tires rub you don`t have enough offset. When i changed wheel and tires i had to go to 18" rims to get enough offset. I think this was mainly because the tire shop did not have access to enough brands of rims to find a suitable rim. With 17" rims that we tried the rim would actually hit the tie rod at full turn, i could have used spacers but choose to go with 18" rims. You might try a wreckers for some 18 ford stock wheels, i think they will fit, i could be corrected on that though.

The size of the wheel is not the problem, its the offset. For our trucks you need wheels that have less than a 4" backspace. While 4" may work for some, 3.75 is ideal and there are very few wheel manufactures that make these anymore as the coil systems on newer trucks don't have these clearance issues. On a side note, ditch the 33's with a 6 inch lift as that is not a good look. 35's maybe but 37's would look better.

Definitely the offset is too much. I bought a set of wheels with the same problem (20" rims with 33" tires) rubbed at full lock. Measured em, they were 5" offset. Had to decide whether to keep the wheels and buy QUALITY spacers ($500), sell 'em and get correct offset wheels, or live with the rub. I sold mine. Good luck.

Thanks folks! That's a big help. I paid decent money for the truck but ended up having to spend good money on the front end and the wheel issue has been an ongoing annoyance. Just starting to feel that I'm polishing a turd with these added costs. It's a legit beast and I'm hoping the end product is worth it.
