I am in the middle of pulling my glow plugs to replace them and purge the oil and fluid out of the cylinders after changing injector o-rings. I got 7 out with no issues. the last one did not "break free" like the rest. it feels like it is twisting on itself and will break if I continue to torque on it. Should I continue to try to loosen it and hope it doesn't break? If it does break what is the process to get it out?
I had something similar happen to me. It was #7 hole. Which is the back one on the passenger side. I tried for prob 15 min and all it would do is spin same as you. Plus I had all the others out so I couldn't put my socket on another one to make sure it was actually in all the way.
I finally gave up and worked on something else for a while and when I came back, it slipped right on. Sure enough it wasn't on all the way before. I guess cause that ones so far back in there it looked like I was straight but wasn't. That's all I can figure out. Cuz I'm pretty sure if it was stripped it'd blow that plug outa there so fast it'd make your head spin.
Not sayin that's for sure what's goin on, but I'd double check.
Not sure who makes the glowplug. the rest of them didn't have a brand name on them that I could see. I will say though that I was running off to work so I didn't look all that good.
