$600, that's it? The gauges I want are a grand.

I'm not looking forward to getting my gauges either. I'll have that much into gauges or more myself. .

I guess that's what happens when you want many quality gauges to monitor all your engine activities.

What brand are you looking at? Classic, New Vintage, SpeedHut, Omega Kustom, Autometer, Stewart Warner?????

There are a lot of nice six gauge kits out there in the 4 to 600 range????

Just curious which ones you are looking at that are a grand?

Autometer priced out to a grand but I changed my mind and now want New Vintage. I want seven gauges and I am not opting for the budget line.

Great choice. They used LED back lighting.

New vintage made my EGT gauge and air pressure gauge to match my Omega Kustom gauges. I wish I would have known about them before; I would have used New Vintage to begin with.

I'm going old school. F-550 dash with FOMOCO cluster, a VDO tach and an analog clock off of a Soviet era bus. The clock isn't American, but, it's 12volt, is the correct diameter and I looks cool.

No they're not. You can buy cheap ones, but you can also buy completely custom ones. You can even send in your gauge cluster and say, "Figure out a way to put some gauges in this." I'll be going for the custom set.

You get what you pay for.

Speedometers today are also smart enough that you don't even need a cable going to them and they don't even need to be wired to a VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor).

They can be run off satellites just like your Garmin or Tom Tom --GPS.
