I love seeing projects like this. I couldn't help but notice the moose antlers in an early shot. Of course I was wondering where you were but later noticed Ontario. looks like you are doing a good job especially with rust repair . not as bad here on the south.
it has been in the works for about 4 years gathering all the parts needed. mainly the cab as i got 2, the white one, and a complete burgundy truck only to find they were going to be too much work to fix once i really got into them... live and learn i guess. about a month ago, i got a complete '85 that was black and the cab was in amazing shape and had less than 70K on it with an almost flawless interior which from what i found is pretty rare. everything in it is original and not a mark on the seat, dash, or rubber floor. only thing left to do now is to finish the exhaust, the wiring for the back lights, wood for the deck, and paint. a friend of mine is a sandblaster and is going to blast under the rockers, cab corners, fenders, hood, doors, and paint it for around $600. then i will have my truck back
got the wood ordered. went with oak and getting it right from the lumber mill for about $11 a board. now i just need to get a pile of bolts for them lol
got the wood for the truck last Friday. white oak, rough cut, right from the local lumber mill for $11 a board. took all weekend to put in on the truck... drilled a ton of holes for the bolts
got the sticker for it yesterday so i'm now driving it to work every day. next pics will be when i get the tow hitch made and the mud flaps on
