Engine swap V-10 2 valve to a 3 valve

Hmm... interesting question. Never had anyone ask about doing this to an E-series, and never a newer one. So, here's the problems as I see them:
Road speed sensor - E-series uses output shaft speed from the tranny, F-series uses rear diff ABS sensor - because no E-series ever came with the 3-valve, the 3-valve computer won't know what to do with that.
And, you NEED the 3-valve computer, as it controls the variable-plenum intake. AND - there were issues with another 2-to-3-valve swap someone did in terms of cam position sensor compatability.
The simple answer is "no" it's not possible. Will it "fit" ? Yes, it will bolt in, but getting the electronics to all work is the problem which I have never heard of a solution for.
Depending on why you want a more powerful engine, you might be better off changing the rear gearing for the extra torque-to-the-ground.

Thanks so much for your reply. When I did my 4X4 conversion I had something like 5:10 ring /pinon with limited slip installed to compensate for the larger 17in tire & whells needed, and I installed Flowmasters.
My problem is I pull a 14ft enclosed trailer and going up mountain grades like the Sherwin grade out of Bishop cal. I can only go max.36mph at 5,500 rpm up the grade for about 20min. It redlines at 6,000 so I hold my breath. I would like more power to solve this. I contacted Paxton because they make a supercharger for the Triton V-10, but it wont fit in the ford class C van front end. The 3 valve V-10 is usued in all the Class A motorhomes so it can pull the extra weight. this engine would be great in the Class C but they dont offer it, especially in a 24ft like mine. They are usuing now the 550 chassis in the 38ft class C with the option of the 3 valve V-10 or a Diesel. but this wont help me. Jerry
