I'm not to the point of doing it yet but it's an idea that's been floating around in my head for awhile. Had anyone ever put a 4bt or a 6bt in a new body style (01) econoline? Thoughts?
Great idea. But they are very tall deep engines, I don't know if theres room in a van bunker? My 5.4 is squeezed in there, heh. I wanna see some pics though! My buddy put a 4bt in a S10 pickup and had a lot of height clearance issues.
Yea, I'm sure it would be a squeeze. I've seen some videos on YouTube of the previous body style with a cummins but nothing about the new body style. If anyone has done it i would be curious as to which transmission they decided to use. Also which exhaust manifold they used. I think it would be a fun project just to see if it would work.
Well, if I could afford them I'd probably get in line to get one! I'd be so happy if I could stand up when I was getting stuff out of my van. They look way better than the sprinters!
